We landed in Boston a on Wednesday in a snow storm. We had intended to take a later bus to Jill's appointment at Dana-Farver but that was not how it all played out. Instead of leaving in the afternoon, we had to leave on the earliest bus. I think it was much harder on Jill that she would admit. we left our house at 5 am and didn't make it to the hotel until after 12 pm.

The ride and the room we have been staying in wouldn't have happened with out of the all of the kindness that has been shown to my wife. I can't imagine how we would have gotten around the city with the help we have received from so many. The Cancer Society is Awesome and has put us in the Extended Stay America but it is about 30 miles away from the hospital and with Jill's constant pain public transportation is out of the picture.

Once at the Hospital they had Jill fill out the standard 4 tons of paper work, but once she got it done we only waited for about another 45 minuets. for a 10 am appointment we finial were speaking with Dr. Rahma. He is the Medical Oncologist, for the Center for Immuno-Oncology. Which was pretty cool but he couldn't really tell us much more than what the trial Jill might be eligible for was about. It is using the new drug Nivolumab to shrink the tumor so it is small enough to make it operable but we will need wait until we meet Dr Krasner this afternoon. She is the one who will make the final decision as to if Jill is a fit for the trial.
