PET Positive

Not that it surprised anyone, but the PET scan confirmed that the cancer is still present. It’s not nearly as large as it was before when it looked like some elongated pear now it looks more like a smushed golf ball.

Jill was able to speak to the Dr directly afterwards who reminded her that she still has cancer and even thought she has been feeling better she needs to take it slow.

Now the challenges come, it’s difficult when paying a bill create another bill.

Later this morning I go back to changing bedding at the Marriot and Jill plans to join me for the 9-10-hour shift. I can’t say I am to happy about it but life at time leaves you with little in the way of choices. If we keep things the way they with only me working for 350 a week only brakes down to the 4 of us living off 11 dollars a day each, before bills. Which has not allowed us to get ahead at best only fall a little behind each month.

The second option the retailing job we found in southern Maine. They want both of us to work for 4 days a week at 8-10 hours a day. It would be a change from 11 dollars a day to 34, this is triple what I am making alone now and would firmly put our family on the path to fixing the last year of cancer costs.

But what choice does someone take: Money/Job so one can buy what you need to survive at the possible cost of your health. Or do you forgo the better pay in lieu of tole it would take on your body only to watch your house fall apart around with each day being a new struggle to survive.

If only I knew someone willing to buy a kidney, because I have one for sale.
