In a few hours Jill and I depart to Southern Maine for Jill to receive her first Radiation treatment. Her cancer bleeding has returned as she fights the almost constant pain which is only slightly dulled by the heavy narcotics she is prescribed.
We pray that with todays treatment she will begin to find some slight comfort as we face the upcoming five weeks for radiation/chemo.
We are still waiting to hear back from the American Cancer Society to see if they can once again help us with nightly shelter as Jill attends treatment during the day or if their Generosity will come to an end and we will have to find some one else we will need to ask for help. We learned that once she begins these treatments that it is critical that she does not miss a day for the next 8 weeks since even missing one of the treatment dates could be detrimental.
Our Ride should come soon and we will make our way south to begin purging the
cancer from Jill's body.
