Almost There

Just a single week of Chemo left. The end comes sooner than we had thought instead of 4 more weeks Dr. Villiotte has told us that instead it will only be another week and a half. Then we will begin the three weeks of waiting until they will know what effect the last 2 months of treatments have affected the tumor and weather we will be looking for new treatments or the 5 – 7 years of remission before she would be classified as cured.

Immediate problems require immediate solutions. The relentless job hunt has finally begun bearing fruit, not soon enough as the money will be out in days while it will be weeks until we can count on a steady pay check again. Selling our only car would only strand us with only trees surrounding us leaving us 8 miles from the closet store and 30 miles from the closest town. We have a house again but again it is not an immediate solution and would only leave us trying to find a new home while battling cancer.

Monday will begin the final full week of Jills treatment even if our money will run out, it was the only choice. It is not a choice when your alternative has you sign off on a 3-5% chance that they may fuse your lower intestine to your bladder. None of the other choices could have been right but I feel we can stand by that one.

"Health is the first muse, comprising the magical benefits of air, landscape, and bodily exercise on the mind." ~Emerson
